I ended up chickening out on the vanilla, simply because I was out of jam and didn&amp;#39;t want to risk it with the first batch of the season. :) I&amp;#39;m doing another tomorrow with rosemary. I ended up steeping the rosemary because I couldn&amp;#39;t find any cheesecloth, and will use the steeping liquid as the water in the recipe.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So could this be made with vanilla extract? I can&amp;#39;t see me making it out to pick up vanilla beans. Plus I suppose I&amp;#39;m cheap. :(</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/7198714796928095356/2394236652766464301/comments/default/8854352845564831490'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/7198714796928095356/2394236652766464301/comments/default/8854352845564831490'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.canningdoctor.com/2009/05/mmmmmmarmalade.html?showComment=1244065604035#c8854352845564831490' title=''/><author><name>Meadowlark</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/17208672418814503032</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://www.canningdoctor.com/2009/05/mmmmmmarmalade.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7198714796928095356.post-2394236652766464301' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/7198714796928095356/posts/default/2394236652766464301' type='text/html'/></entry></feed>
